Transport

Getting to Frigiliana is fairly straightforward.

From Málaga airport:

By car/taxi: The vast majority of the journey is on the highway, the A-7, and you take exit 243 for ‘Frigiliana’. You then travel the last few kilometres on the M-5105, winding your way up into the hills and to the village itself. The total driving time is around 45 to 50 minutes.

Booking a taxi in advance is a lot cheaper than hiring one at the airport, well worth considering. There are several companies offering the service including www.nerjataxis.net.

If you are coming from Granada it is also highways pretty much all the way and once again you get off at exit 243 and follow the M-5105.

By bus: From Málaga airport, catch the number 19 bus from outside the arrivals terminal to Málaga bus station (price €1,10). Purchase a ticket to Nerja from the Alsa ticket office (price €3.85) and proceed to bay 38. Upon arrival in Nerja, you will need to change bus to get to Frigiliana.

The  journey time from Málaga bus station to Nerja is between 1 hour 10 minutes and 1 hour 40 minutes, depending upon whether it is a direct bus or one that goes round the houses. From Nerja to Frigiliana will take about 15 minutes. See the Bus Timetables for further information.
